Many tasks are similar across different modules, such as adding a banner image with News, Journals and Events. Banner image is the image that accompanies content and is shown in list view, activty feed and at top of content in detail view.

1. Banner Image - Adding a banner Image with content

  • When in edit mode for News, Journals or Event
  • Click on Upload in Content section under Banner image
  • Use Browse Computer to upload an image from your computer or Browse Server to select from the server gallery. 
  • Once image has been selected you can crop the view that appears in list view and activity feed.
  • Hit Save when done. A preview of how the images will appear in detail and list view will show

NOTE: It is recommended to use a landscape oriented image to be able to show the most of it in list view and activity feed. The cropper is fixed to 16:9 ratio.

 

2.  Using the Rich Text Editor (RTE)

The Syncfusion WYSIWYG editor makes it simple to format text and add multimedia content. It includes a file manager that allows you to organize images used in the Admin Dashboard effectively. Along with text, you can seamlessly incorporate media files to enhance your content. You can add:

  • Images from your computer or the file manager (server)
  • Video link or embed code from services like Youtube or Vimeo
  • Audio files using mp3 format.

  1. Font Style Dropdown: Choose between Normal Text or Heading options.
  2. Font Size Dropdown: Select from various font sizes (default is 12).
  3. Text Color: Apply a color to the selected text.
  4. Highlight Color: Highlight the background of the selected text.
  5. Bold: Makes the selected text bold (Command/Control + B).
  6. Italic: Italicizes the selected text (Command/Control + I).
  7. Underline: Underlines the selected text (Command/Control + U).
  8. Strikethrough: Adds a line through the middle of the selected text.
  9. Clear Format: Removes any formatting from the selected text (Command/Control + Shift + R).
  10. Numbered List: Adds a numbered (ordered) list.
  11. Bulleted List: Adds a bulleted (unordered) list.
  12. Decrease Indent: Moves the selected text closer to the left margin.
  13. Increase Indent: Moves the selected text further from the left margin (indents the text).
  14. Create Table: Opens the table grid to insert a table with the desired number of rows and columns.
  15. Insert Link: Adds a hyperlink to the selected text.
  16. Remove Link: Removes an existing hyperlink.
  17. File Manager: Allows you to insert an image or a file from the file manager.
  18. Insert Image: Opens a dialog box to insert an image either by uploading from your device or by providing a URL. You can also drag and drop images.
  19. Insert Video: Allows you to insert a video by uploading a file, using an embedded code, or providing a video URL.
  20. Insert Audio: Allows you to insert an audio file by uploading it or by providing an audio link (e.g., an MP3 file).
