Overview

In the Admin Dashboard, navigate to Destination via the side menu. The opening page displays all existing destinations, showing details like airport names, hotel names, ratings, and groups. You can use the search bar and filters to find specific entries. The top menu also includes options for managing groups, viewing hotel reviews (if enabled), and adding new destinations.

NOTE: Hotel review feature is enabled in the App Features page.

What you see when accessing the Destinaion page.

Top bar items.

  • Search: Quickly locate specific destinations using keywords.
  • Clear Filters: Reset any filters applied to the table.
  • Groups: Manage Destination Groups (e.g., continents by default, custom groups can be added).
  • Hotel Review: Access member feedback on hotels (visible when feature is enabled).
  • +Add: Add a new destination.

The Destination Table lists all added destinations with the following columns:

  • Airport Name: The name of the airport, along with the IATA code.
  • Hotel Name: Associated hotel for the destination.
  • Avg Rating: Average member rating for the hotel, visible only if the Hotel Review feature is enabled.
  • Destination Group: Category to which the destination belongs, such as a continent or custom group.
  • Target Groups: The member Groups who can view this destination in the app.
  • Last Updated: Date when the destination was last modified.
  • Status: Shows if the destination is currently Active or Inactive. If its visible in the app or not.
  • Actions: Options for editing, creating a copy, setting the destination to active/inactive, or deleting it.

 

Selecting a Destination opens up a view pane to the right with same tools available as using the trhee dots in the Action column.

1. Managing Destination Groups

Destination groups are used to categorize various destinations in the system. By default, these include continent groups like Europe, Asia, etc. Additional custom groups can be created and managed by admins.

  1. View Existing Groups
    In the top bar, select Groups to view a list of all destination groups, including both default and custom groups.

  2. Add a New Group

    • Click the +Add button
    • Enter the name for the new destination group.
    • Click Save to create the group.

  3. Edit a Group

    • Click the Edit icon (pencil) next to the group name.
    • Update the group name as necessary.
    • Click Save to apply changes.

  4. Delete a Group

    • Click the Delete icon (trash) next to the group name.
    • Confirm deletion if prompted.
      Note: A custom group with assigned destinations cannot be deleted until those destinations are reassigned or removed.

 

2. Adding a New Destination

To add a new destination, follow these steps:
In the top bar, select +Add to open the Add destination page.

  1. Fill Out Destination Information

    • Select a Destination Target Group category for this Destination 
    • Set Target Groups to indicate what member groups will have access to the destination.
    • You can rearrange the order of the Airport, Transport, and Hotel tabs, which will be reflected in the app. Just drag n drop.

  2. Manage Airport Info

    • Display in App: Tick this box to show airport details in the app.
    • Airport Code: Begin typing the IATA code or airport name. Google Places will auto-suggest relevant options.
    • Airport Info: Enter additional details such as routing info, which informs members how to reach transport after customs.
    • Contact Details: Enter phone and email. Use the Add Phone and Add Email buttons for additional fields.
    • Optionally, upload images to enhance information.

  3. Manage Transport Info

    • Display in App: Tick this box to show transport details in the app.
    • Transport Info: Fill in relevant fields like contact names, phone numbers, and service information.
    • Contact Details: Enter phone and email. Use the Add Phone and Add Email buttons for additional fields.
    • Add images if needed for better identification of drivers or vehicles i.e.

  4. Manage Hotel Info

    • Display in App: Tick this box to show hotel details in the app.
    • Search Hotel: Start typing the hotel name, and it will be auto-populated via Google Places.
    • Hotel Info: Enter details about the hotel.
    • Temporary Info: Include details such as temporary hotel relocations, construction work, or any other temporary changes. Use the calendar to set the expiry date for this information.
    • Special Offers: Add any deals, special offers or further information for members.
    • Contact Details: Enter phone and email. Use the Add Phone and Add Email buttons for additional fields.
    • Optionally, upload images to enhance information.

 

3. Modifying an Existing Destination

  1. Select a destination from the table to open its detailed view pane on the right. This allows you to quickly view all associated data like airport, transport, and hotel details.

  2. You can access the tools menu from the view pane, pencil icon for edit, or by clicking the three-dot menu in the "Actions" column, where you can:

    • Set Active/Inactive: Change the status of the destination if to show or hide from app
    • Edit: Go to edit mode to update any details, including airport, transport, or hotel info.
    • Create Copy: Duplicate the destination entry to use details for another destination or to set a another target group for the same destination.
    • Delete: Remove the destination.

  3. To modify details such as Airport, Transport, or Hotel Info, select Edit and adjust the necessary fields in the destination's form (Airport, Transport, Hotel) similarly to how they were added. Ensure you tick the Display in App option for the relevant sections if you want them visible to members in app.

  4. Click Save to apply your changes.
