You can set a document status as Active or Inactive anytime. An Inactive document is not available in the app, and so you can use the Active and Inactive actions to show or hide the document in the app, in specific cases.

Click on Documents in the sidebar.

A list of documents appears.

Locate the target document in the list.

There are two ways to change the document's status.

In the documents list

In Action column, click on the three dots to see different actions.

Change to Active

If the status of a document is Inactive, you can see the action as Set Active. Click on this action and the document status changes.

Change to Inactive

If the status of a document is Active, you can see the action as Set Inactive. Click on this action and the document status changes.

The status updates in the list of documents too.

The Draft status

While adding a new document, it is saved as an auto saved Draft if you do not save it manually. (Please see Add a document for more details.)

The list shows its status as Draft—and you cannot see the options to change its status to Active or Inactive.

Click on Edit and save this document first. The Add a document article explains the steps for how to submit it first before the status options are available for such a document.

In the document details

In the list of documents, click on the target document name. The details opens in a panel on the right side. (Please see Document details for more information.)

In the Action dropdown, use the action to change the status.
