4.  Checklist for common notification failures

These are some of the common issues that admins can check for in case of suspected failure of notification delivery:

  1. Verify Target Audience:
  • Ensure the correct groups or users are selected for notifications.
  • Double-check attributes like Base, Equipment, or Position/Rank if narrow targeting is used.

2.  Check Notification Settings:

  • Confirm that the correct notification type (sound, no sound, badge) is chosen. Badge count only setting does not produce a notification, merely an unread count.
  • Ensure the “Send Now” or scheduled time is accurate and in the future if it is scheduled.

3.  User Device Settings:

  • Remind users to enable notifications for the app in their device settings.
  • Suggest users check if their devices are in Do Not Disturb mode.

4.  Notification Delivery Logs:

  • Review delivery success rates in the History tab to identify patterns or failures.

5.  Review Scheduled Notifications:

  • Check the Scheduled tab for pending notifications and confirm their configurations. Sent notifications are moved to the History tab from Scheduled when it has been delivered.
