2Way brings your association’s updates, resources, services and member communication together in one platform. This guide explains what each module does and how your association can use it.

Availability depends on your association’s setup. Paid add-on identifies optional extras. Mobile only and Web only indicate where members can use them.

Accessing your platform

Branded mobile apps
Your association’s iOS and Android apps give members access to its content and services on their mobile devices.

Member web app
Members access the platform through a web browser. Same credentials as for the mobile apps. Some features may differ between mobile and web.

Admin dashboard
Your team manages content, members, groups and platform settings centrally. The home page brings together recent activity, report follow-up, membership statistics and an event calendar. Moderators can be assigned access to relevant areas to share the administration work.

Member modules and services

Content

News, Journals and Events share the same rich-text editor. Alongside formatted text, lists and links, you can add images, MP3 audio files and embedded YouTube or Vimeo videos. You can also attach supporting Documents.

Editor guide: [Insert link to the existing rich-text editor KB article.]

News
Publish official announcements, office updates, board communications and current affairs. Each article can include a title, short highlights and supporting content.

Labels help organise articles, while target groups let you address the relevant audience. Choose to publish through the apps, distribute by email, or use both. You can also share a direct link to an article.

Example: Publish the weekly president’s letter with highlights and a supporting document, then distribute it through both the app and email.

Journals
Organise recurring updates by committee or topic, giving each area of your association a place to share its work and keep it organised. A moderator can manage a topic on behalf of a committee or group.

The Journal Group organises the topic; target groups identify the intended audience. Entries build an ongoing record of committee work, meeting notes and guidance. You can also share a direct link to an entry.

Example: The flight safety committee keeps its published updates and meeting notes together, allowing members to follow current issues and ongoing work.

Events
Publish meetings, briefings and other association events with dates, times, location and participation details. Add an agenda, supporting documents or other content so members have the information they need in one place.

The dashboard includes whole-day and recurring-event options, participation opt-in and attendance-list settings. You can configure how an event appears in the activity feed around its scheduled date and share a direct link to it.

Example: Publish a member meeting with its agenda and supporting documents, and enable participation responses to help plan attendance.

Documents
Keep agreements, guides and important files in a structured PDF library. Organise documents into groups and select the intended audience so members can find relevant resources.

Documents can also be attached to News, Journals and Events. The dashboard shows where a document is used and provides controls for its visibility in the Documents module and sharing through members’ devices. You can also share a direct link to a document.

Example: Keep the current collective agreement in Documents and attach it to a News article explaining its main changes.

Community

Members
Help members find fellow association members through the member directory, with sorting and filtering by base, fleet or seniority.

Members can update their own information through their profile where enabled. An optional member-system integration can sync details between systems. See Member profile.

Contacts
The “who’s who” of your association. Contacts groups representatives into areas such as the board, office staff and committees, with roles and contact information.

This module helps members answer “Who should I contact?” Group descriptions can explain each team’s responsibilities.

Example: A member with a hotel-related question finds the hotel committee and the appropriate representative.

Chat
Paid add-on · Mobile only

Support one-to-one conversations, group chats and announcements within the mobile app.

Examples: Committee members coordinate an upcoming meeting in a group chat, then publish the resulting member update in Journals. Members at the same base use a group chat for base-related matters.

Forum
Paid add-on · Web only

Provide a space for member discussions within the web platform. Members can exchange perspectives, ask questions and contribute to association topics. Over time, discussions can become a useful source of knowledge for new members.

Example: Members discuss a proposed association initiative and share suggestions for the committee to consider.

Member services

Reports
Collect member submissions through forms defined by your association. Report templates specify the information needed, while report groups organise different subjects.

Your team can track submissions by report type, communicate with the submitting member, set a report’s status, forward it and review overall statistics. This supports follow-up on individual matters and helps the association identify recurring issues.

Example: A member submits a fatigue report using a form that gathers the relevant details. The responsible team follows it up through comments and status updates.

Surveys
Gather member opinions and feedback through a defined set of questions, using different question types. Set when the survey goes live and whether results are shown.

Select the relevant audience through target groups and, where applicable, base, equipment or position. The dashboard shows qualified participants and participation counts.

Example: Ask members which issues they want prioritised before negotiations, or gather feedback from a particular fleet on a specific matter.

Destinations
Keep airport, hotel and transport information together for each destination. Airport details can include directions to the transport pickup point and relevant contacts. Transport details can include provider information and phone numbers.

Hotel information can include hotel details, conditions, special offers and temporary notices. Hotel reviews and ratings can be enabled separately, with feedback collected in the dashboard for the hotel committee to review.

Example: A member lands at JFK after a long time away, checks where to find transport and reviews the hotel information. After the stay, they submit a rating, helping the hotel committee keep track of service quality.

Deals & Discounts
Collect negotiated member offers and benefits in one place. Each offer can include vendor details, a website or location, a category, descriptions, special conditions and an expiry date.

Where appropriate, offers can include redemption requirements, frequency-of-use settings and a barcode. Members can see what is available and how to use it.

Example: Publish a member-only hotel discount with booking instructions, eligibility conditions and its validity period.

Emergency
Bring the association’s emergency contacts and incident guidance together in a dedicated module. Include labelled phone and SMS contacts, explanatory text and safety guidance, alongside checklists and a sample statement.

Example: Following an incident, a member finds the association’s designated contact and refers to its checklist in one place.

Digital membership card
Mobile only

Give members a digital membership card in the app, with the option to add it to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.

Your association can configure the title, subtitle, logo and optional member photo. An expiry date or validity period can also be shown. Card availability and the Add to Wallet option are managed separately in the dashboard.

EASA FTL
Paid add-on · Mobile only

An EASA-based flight duty limit and rest calculator. Members can add individual flight duties or import a supported roster.

Duties appear together in a single feed, showing exceeded limits or rest requirements that have not been met. Members can open a duty’s detail view for further information.

Platform features

Member profile

Members can update their own information through their profile where enabled. Your association chooses which fields they can edit, including selected contact, address and employment details.

An optional integration with your member system can sync details between systems, reducing duplicate data entry. Syncing requires a configured integration.

App publishing and email distribution

News articles can be published to the apps, distributed by email, or both. Your team can maintain the content in the platform while also reaching members through email.

Mobile push notifications

Draw attention to updates through app notifications. The dashboard includes a standalone notification composer and notification options within several content modules, with targeting and scheduling controls.

Targeted communication

Direct content to relevant member groups or internal groups. This lets your team distinguish association-wide information from updates intended for a particular audience, such as a committee or base.

Multiple moderators

Share publishing and administration work across your team. Module and group permissions let you assign relevant areas to moderators, allowing committee representatives to maintain their own updates and reducing the office’s publishing workload.

Your labels and navigation

Customise module names and organise menu sections using names familiar to your association. General / Modules and Labels includes ordering, audience and mobile/web visibility controls.

Interface languages

The mobile app interface is available in English, Spanish and Icelandic. This applies to menus and controls, rather than automatic translation of published content.

Content likes

Enable likes separately for News, Journals, Events, Documents and Destinations so members can acknowledge content.

Copy links to News, Journals, Events and Documents and share them by email, social media or other channels.

Links currently open the content in the member web app. This is separate from sharing a PDF through a device’s sharing options.

Activity feed

The activity feed is the default opening page for members, bringing published content together in one place. Publishing controls allow selected items to be hidden from the feed.

Offline access

On initial login, content is downloaded to the mobile device for offline access and kept updated whenever the app is online. Surveys require an internet connection.

Analytics

View member activity and content engagement through the Analytics page, accessible from the Admin Dashboard.

Analytics is still in development and will be integrated into the new Admin Dashboard homepage.
